POWERFEST #70-SHR: $1M Gtd Phase Final
If you ever needed proof out phased tournaments are incredible value this is it. POWERFEST #70-SHR: $1M Gtd Phase saw its already large guarantee smashed by $342,535!
Three-hundred-and-eight players competed in the $5,200 final phase and 40 of them received a slice of the $1,342,535 prize pool.
Team partypoker pros Roberto “R_Romanello” Romanello (48th) and Joni “JJouhki” Jouhkimainen (43rd) came close to cashing but ultimately missed out.
Sam “SamTrickett” Trickett (38th – $10,471) and Jason “Jason_Koon” Koon (11th – $20,809) did see a return on their investments.
Each of the eight finalists banked at least $26,850. “ic_fc_fish_pro” banked this sum when they crashed out in eighth place.
“tdlvechicknbn” and “DasIstMirWurst” were the next casualties. They scooped $36,919 and $52,358 respectively.
Fifth-place and $69,811 went to “CaptainJack75” before “Fedor_Holz” busted in fourth for $98,676. This meant the final three players locked up six-figure prizes.
The first of those went to “EmpireMaker” whose third-place exit was worth $135,596. Their exit set up a one-on-one encounter between “PunchlineEnBata” and “LittleRussia”. The former stormed into the lead, one that turned out to be unassailable as they walked away with the gargantuan $267,164 top prize, leaving the runner-up to get their hands on $193,325.

POWERFEST #71-HR: $400K Gtd Phase Final
The POWERFEST #71-HR: $400K Gtd Phase Final was another huge event with a $551,350 prize pool created. Team partypoker’s Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard came close to a final table appearance but fell in 13th place for a $4,079 score.
“OMGKentaNuts” was the last player standing, turning their $530 into a massive $94,005 payout after a shade over 11-hours of intense poker action. Our champion defeated “gob_b” heads-up for the title to resign the runner-up to a $67,264 consolation prize.
All but one of the eight finalists walked away with a five-figure prize. “BRAER_71RUS” being that player; they won $6,947.
“CHIARA FERRAGNI” ($10,365), “HajMat” ($14,776) and “KKGMHELL67” ($20,951) all fell by the wayside. “RichHomePK_” ($29,552) followed suit before “Noragami” ($44,163) become the penultimate elimination.

POWERFEST #74-HR: $400K Gtd 8-Max PKO
“Quantum_Leap” will remember POWERFEST #74-HR: $400K Gtd 8-Max PKO fondly thanks to being the last player standing from the 249 entrants. Each of those players exchanged $2,100 for the chance to become a POWERFEST champion, only Quantum_Leap managed to achieve that goal.
First place was worth $40,144 but thanks to the PKO format, the champion also won $80,685 worth of bounties for a total prize worth $120,829. Part of that huge bounty was on the head of runner-up “BuddyRW” who fell in second-place for a combined prize worth $41,144.
With bounty payments included, everyone at the final table netted five-figures, going to show how lucrative PKO tournaments are at partypoker.
We have to give a special mention to “attitydsproblem” and “Achipindal” who fell in fifth and fourth-place. They must have bee playing super aggressively before the former won $15,274 scalps and the latter $12,129! attitydsproblem actually won more from the bounty prize pool than the main one!
